Ink Texture.
Shortly after high school as I was transitioning out of the realm of “tshirts” for a bit, I fancied myself a “sneaker customizer”. The art form taught me to embrace varying patterns, styles, and design mechanics for shoe customizations. I’ve always held tightly to this idea as an artist. Now, as a screen printer, Im always looking for new and interesting ways to print to give varying results. This “texture” style of print is reminiscent of a “diamond plate” aluminum sheet, giving a large area of ink a sort of textured dimension for aesthetic purposes.
I dont imagine this is the first time it’s been attempted or accomplished but it surely looks good. Really happy with it and will experiment with the print technique more in the future.
