OSC// Strong Towns Initiative

Kicking off Spring with a bevy of new designs and concepts--here we have Strong Towns. This concept was derived from the (Strong Towns Print) that was created a few months ago.  The Strong Towns Initiative focuses on the support of small businesses and the neighborhoods that support them. I plan on having fun with this initiative by getting an 'outside' point of view on the subject. 

Statistical facts show that even a city block's worth of dated and cankered traditional small businesses can out perform "new and improved" auto-oriented developments by at least 40% in value (between improvement and land value). More specifically Strong Towns pays homage to some of the premier neighborhoods and towns making way for small and growing businesses. "Support Local" is a healthy initiative that stimulates employment opportunities and other aspects of the local economy.
