OSC// Black Lives Matter

Initially the Black Lives Matter shirt was not to be released, but it’s both an important statement as well as an important cause to be examined. Im constantly back and forth as to whether it’s a directive that I want pinned to my business, but with the way things have been giong and my feelings towards it, I can no longer curb or silence myself to not. For me, this isnt about making money (which was my initial fear of me retailing the shirt to be), but more about creating an item for myself and others to provoke discussion. A starting place for healthy discourse.

Growing up in north county, myself, Ive not only seen the vitriol, but felt it as well. A land forgotten. A community unheard. I liken this cause so much to myself for not only being from it’s original conception but also understanding the voices that created it. I’ve run the same streets and have been harrassed by those same patrolmen that were sworn to protect the us citizens. So I also say “Black Lives Matter” — in hopes of having some police accountability for the countless souls that were unfairly… unjustly taken away by fearful officers. And I hope you educate yourself it’s directive and vie to spread it’s message as well. For the sake of a voiceless community.
