Design Story:
When we talk about the French “fleur-de-lis” — it’s reserved to represent anything “French” in relativity to it’s history or culture. It’s no wonder that the symbol became synonymous with St. Louis as the city was ultimately founded by French settlers near the conjunction of the Missouri and Mississippi rivers. The fleur-de-lis officially became the symbol of St Louis City when it became drafted as part of the flag in 1964. Here, Onetime Supply Co. has reimagined the image of the fleur-de-lis — taking the design elements of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers and combining it into a solitary design symbol to represent St.Louis as a stand alone entity from other French inspired locales.
